Lucknow: The day of 06 June 2024 was celebrated by the Safety Department of Northern Railway, Lucknow Division as ‘International Level Crossing Day’ by conducting a safety campaign across the division, the objective of which is to make all the level crossings of the division accident-free.
On this special day, a message was disseminated among the passengers, railway employees and the general public to take precautions while crossing the railway crossings while doing so.
On this occasion, a program was organized at level crossing number 2/SPL of Manaknagar station in Lucknow under the activities organized by the Safety Department of the Division.
In this program, in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager, S.M. Sharma, the team of Scouts and Guides of the division gave an emotional presentation of a street play based on information regarding the precautions to be taken while crossing the railway crossing in front of the people present.
On this occasion, the Divisional Railway Manager himself held a safety dialogue with the general public and road users present there and distributed safety related posters and pamphlets among them. Other activities carried out under this campaign include playing pre-recorded safety jingles at busy level crossings, making passengers aware through public announcement system, making road users aware about safety by organizing safety seminars at level crossings of the division and organizing other safety related activities.
Senior Divisional Safety Officer, Kuldeep Tiwari along with inspectors, supervisors and other railway employees of the safety department were present in this event.
