Chennai: Ravindra Jadeja presented a lethal bowling display against KKR in the 22nd match of IPL 2024. Kolkata’s batsmen looked helpless in front of CSK’s star all-rounder. The match between Chennai and Kolkata was played at Chepauk ground in Chennai. Jadeja ended the innings of Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in the same over. In the match, he took three wickets for 18 runs in a spell of 4 overs. In this match, he showed the most economical bowling for Chennai.
After losing the toss in the match, KKR came out to bat. Phil Salt became the victim of Tushar Deshpande without opening the account on the first ball of the match. After this Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Sunil Narine took over the innings. There was a partnership of 50 runs between the two. But it was the deadly spinner and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who broke this pair. Jadeja dismissed Angkrish Raghuvanshi on the very first ball of his spell.
Raghuvanshi failed to understand Jaddu’s spinning ball and was caught in front of the wicket. In the same over, Jadeja did wonders by dismissing Sunil Narine, who scored 27 runs in 20 balls.
After taking two wickets in the first over, Jadeja again became the nemesis for KKR in the second over also. Jadeja also showed the way to the pavilion to Venkatesh Iyer on the second ball of the over. After this, captain Shreyas Iyer also got trapped in Jadeja’s net and was caught by Daryl Mitchell. Apart from Jadeja, Tushar Deshpande also took 3 wickets in the match for Chennai.
