Lucknow: Prof. S.N. Pandey, from the Department of Botany, University of Lucknow, has been conferred the prestigious SKSS National Green Scientist Award 2024. The accolade recognizes Prof. Pandey’s exceptional contributions to the field of research and development.
The award was presented during the International Conference on “Nature, Science, and Modern Lifestyle: Issues and Perspectives (IICNSMLIP-2024)”, held at the Shri Puran Singh Memorial Auditorium in Lucknow. The event, organized by Sarvhit Kalyan Seva Samiti (SKSS) in association with initiatives like “Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)” and “Namami Gange,” highlighted efforts toward sustainability and environmental conservation.
The award ceremony featured notable dignitaries, including Rajive Kumar (IFS Retd.), Chairman of the EAC Industry-1 under the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Afroz Ahmed, Member of the National Green Tribunal, and Prof. A.K. Pandey, Former Principal Scientist at ICAR. Prof. Pandey’s work reflects a commitment to advancing sustainability, showcasing impactful research that addresses pressing environmental challenges.
