Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh Nominated as National Council Member, Member of CATE and MCDB by The Institution of Engineers (India)
Lucknow: It is with great pride and honor that Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh, Director General (Technical) at the School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, and Fellow Member (FIE-10857-6) of the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), has been nominated as a National Council Member, Member of the Committee for Advancement of Technology and Engineering (CATE), and Member of the Mechanical Engineering Division Board (MCDB) for the 2024-2025 session by the President of IEI, Kolkata. This esteemed appointment follows the decision made during the 728th Council meeting held on December 22, 2024, in Kolkata.
In his new role, Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh will lend his expertise to the Mechanical Engineering Division Board (MCDB), further strengthening the field of mechanical engineering. His co-option into the IEI Council under Bye-Law 12(a) ensures his valuable contributions to the institution’s ongoing activities, strategic direction, and policy-making initiatives.
Prof. (Dr.) Bharat Raj Singh is a distinguished academician and engineer, recognized for his substantial contributions to the field of mechanical engineering. He has held several key academic positions, particularly at the School of Management Sciences, Lucknow, and is widely regarded for his efforts to advance engineering knowledge and technology. As a Fellow Member (FIE)and past Chairman, IEI, UP State Centre of IEI, Prof. Singh has actively participated in numerous engineering forums at both national and international levels, showcasing his commitment to furthering the engineering profession.
With a rich history of promoting excellence in engineering, IEI will undoubtedly benefit from Prof. Singh’s vast experience. His guidance will be instrumental in advancing the goals of CATE and strengthening the broader mechanical engineering community under the leadership of the institution.
In addition to this significant appointment, Er. Satya Prakash, Chairman of the IEI Uttar Pradesh State Centre, Past Chairman Mussarat Noor Khan, nominated as National Council Member and Past Chairman Er. NC Mittal, Hon. Secretary Vijay Pratap Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Kamlesh Kumar Singh, Er. Vinod Saxena, and Arch. F. Rahman have also been nominated as members of their respective divisions.
