Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir on June 20 and 21 to participate in the International Yoga Day celebrations. During this visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 84 major development projects worth more than Rs 1,500 crore in Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, tight security arrangements have been made for PM Modi’s visit to Srinagar city of Jammu and Kashmir on June 20.
Full schedule of PM Modi’s program
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, on June 21 at around 6.30 am, the Prime Minister will participate in the 10th International Yoga Day program at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC) in Srinagar. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will address the people present and then participate in the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) yoga session.
The Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Empowerment of Youth, Change in Jammu and Kashmir’ program at SKICC in Srinagar on June 20 at around 6 pm. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Jammu and Kashmir. He will also launch the Rs 1800 crore Competitiveness Improvement Project (JKCIP) in Agriculture and Allied Sectors.
The SPG will take over the security
The Prime Minister will reach Srinagar on the evening of June 20 and the next day will participate in the 18th International Yoga Day at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar. More than 6,000 other participants are expected to join him. In fact, this is Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after being elected Prime Minister of the country for the third time.
The SPG teams deployed for the security of the Prime Minister had reached here five days in advance to coordinate the security arrangements with the security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir. The venue has been completely sanitized. The SPG will take control of the venue two days before the Prime Minister’s visit. The visit is being planned using human surveillance, electronic equipment, drone surveillance, control over vast areas and Hawkeye monitoring of the VVIP route.
Tight security arrangements
Every detail in the blue book describing the security of the Prime Minister is being followed meticulously. Jammu and Kashmir DGP RR Swain himself is monitoring and coordinating every detail related to the security of the Prime Minister. All roads leading to the venue will be completely sealed a day before the visit. A top intelligence official said that no risk is being taken regarding the security of the Prime Minister.
