To ensure the successful operation of these centers, a two-day incubator training program was recently organized by the Innovation Hub at AKTU. This program, which is part of a series of state-level training initiatives, is designed to equip directors, professors, and incubation managers with the skills needed to effectively run these centers. As of now, four such training sessions have been conducted, all aimed at building a robust ecosystem for innovation across the state.
The training program focused on offering practical tips for running an incubation center and discussed the various aspects crucial to their success. Among the topics covered were government schemes, funding opportunities, and the critical elements needed to nurture innovative ideas. Experts such as Rakhi Sharma, a specialist in business model development, and Dr. Puneendru Shekhar Pandey, GM at GL Bajaj, provided valuable insights on how to manage and operate incubation centers effectively.
Additionally, participants were divided into teams and given the opportunity to present approximately six hundred new startup ideas, which will be nurtured and transformed into viable businesses within the incubation centers. These centers will play a pivotal role in turning these ideas into successful startups, thereby driving the state’s innovation agenda.
As part of its ongoing commitment to excellence, Innovation Hub representatives will also be visiting T Hub in Hyderabad, a renowned startup ecosystem, for a three-day training session. This visit will allow them to learn from one of the leading innovation hubs in the country.
Artha Nirmiti: Empowering Students and Startups with Financial Literacy
In another significant development, AKTU’s Innovation Hub has partnered with the Sunil Patodia Welfare Foundation to launch the Artha Nirmiti campaign. This initiative is designed to enhance financial literacy among startups and students at AKTU. Through this collaboration, startups and students will receive expert sessions on financial management, helping them gain a better understanding of how to manage their company’s finances effectively.
The Artha Nirmiti campaign will include workshops, sessions, and resources aimed at educating students and entrepreneurs about the essential aspects of financial management, which are often crucial for the growth and sustainability of startups. This initiative is being run for free by the Foundation across higher education institutions in the country.
During the inauguration of the Center for Excellence, which will house the Artha Nirmiti initiative, Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey highlighted the importance of financial literacy in empowering young entrepreneurs. He emphasized that this collaboration will equip students and startups with the tools they need to succeed in the competitive business world.
With the establishment of these incubation centers and the launch of the Artha Nirmiti campaign, AKTU is playing a key role in nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and ensuring they are financially savvy, ready to innovate, and capable of making a lasting impact on the business landscape.
