Lucknow: The Director of the State Mandi Parishad, Indra Vikram Singh, inspected the Malihabad sub-mandi site in Lucknow on Tuesday. During the visit, he closely examined the trade activities, sanitation arrangements, and facilities provided to farmers within the mandi premises. He emphasized the need to further enhance the fundamental amenities of the sub-mandi to benefit both farmers and traders.
During the inspection, the Mandi Director instructed officials to make necessary arrangements for the trade of fruits, flowers, and vegetables at the Malihabad sub-mandi site at the earliest. He also stressed the need to strengthen modern facilities in the mandi to ensure fair prices for farmers and smooth operations for traders. Additionally, steps should be taken to improve cleanliness and streamline traffic management within the mandi premises.
Singh reiterated the state government’s commitment to safeguarding farmers’ interests and increasing their income. In line with this objective, the Mandi Parishad is continuously working to ensure transparency and efficient management in mandis. He also emphasized the expansion of electronic weighing systems, digital payment mechanisms, and modern storage facilities within the mandi to enhance operational efficiency and convenience for all stakeholders.
