Mahakumbh 2025 Commences with Grand Paush Purnima Bath

Prayagraj: The much-awaited Mahakumbh 2025 officially began  in Prayagraj with the auspicious Paush Purnima bath. Marking the first holy dip of this grand spiritual gathering, over 60 lakh devotees flocked to the ghats on the opening day, celebrating faith and devotion on a massive scale.

Massive Crowd at Sangam Nose

The Sangam Nose, where the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati converge, witnessed the largest gathering of devotees. From the early hours of the morning, pilgrims arrived to take a sacred dip, with expectations that the numbers would soar into crores as the day progressed.

Devotees Throng All Ghats

While the Sangam Nose was the focal point, all ghats in Prayagraj saw streams of devotees eager to immerse themselves in the spiritual aura. The chants of prayers, devotional songs, and mantras echoed across the city, transforming the atmosphere into one of divine celebration.

Kalpavas Begins with Sacred Vows

The first bath also marked the commencement of Kalpavas for countless devotees. After taking the holy dip, Kalpavasis pledged to follow strict spiritual practices over the next 45 days, dedicating themselves to penance, devotion, and a quest for liberation.
