LSG turns the tide against CSK

Lucknow: The 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) was played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK)  at Ekana Cricket Stadium in the capital Lucknow. In this match, Lucknow defeated Chennai by 8 wickets on its home ground. However, due to a mistake by both the captains during the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) imposed heavy fines on both the teams.

Rahul-Gaikwad fined Rs 12 lakh each

Actually, due to slow over rate, KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been fined Rs 12 lakh each. However, this was the first offense of Rahul and Gaikwad under the IPL Code of Conduct, due to which both were fined Rs 12 lakh each. Let us tell you that this was not the first match of the tournament in which captains were fined. Earlier, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant and Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer have also been fined.

LSG vs CSK: Lucknow defeated Chennai by 8 wickets

Talking about the match, in this match Chennai Super Kings (CSK), batting first, scored 176 runs in 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja played a brilliant unbeaten half-century of 57 runs for CSK. Apart from Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane 36 runs and Moeen Ali 30 runs also played important innings. In the end, former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored a quick 28 runs in 9 balls. In reply, Lucknow easily achieved the target at the loss of 2 wickets in 19 overs thanks to the brilliant half-centuries of opener Quinton T Kock (54) and captain KL Rahul (82).
