Kashi donations see an uptick

Varanasi: When Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham was expanded and made accessible and modern, the number of Shiva devotees from all over the world started increasing day by day.

After the inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Baba’s offerings also increased manifold. After the expansion of facilities in the double engine government, there was also a record increase in the number of donations and visitors to Vishwanath Dham. Baba’s income has increased fourfold from the financial year 2017-18 to 2023-24. In the middle of the Corona period, there was a slight decrease in the number of devotees, but after that it again registered a tremendous increase.

The number of devotees reached 16.22 crores

After the rejuvenation of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, many facilities were increased in the temple under the constant inspection and direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The expansion of the temple and the ease of darshan further increased pilgrimage in Kashi. Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, said that Baba’s income has increased 4 times in the last 7 years in the form of offerings, donations, tickets and income from newly constructed buildings in the premises. After the inauguration of Vishwanath Corridor on 13 December 2021, the number of Baba’s devotees reached 16.22 crores by May 2024.

World class facilities started being available in double engine government

The religious and spiritual city of Kashi has been a pilgrimage site for the followers of Sanatan Dharma since time immemorial. World class facilities are now available in Kashi in the double engine government. It has become easy to reach this ancient city from every corner of the world, due to which the flow of devotees has increased here. It is believed that in the Sanatan tradition, donation gives special virtue. After coming to the city of religion Kashi, Shiva devotees are offering and donating wholeheartedly.
