Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ Celebrates 25 Years with Cast Reunion: Sakshi Tanwar and Shweta Kawatra Reunite

Mumbai– The iconic Indian television drama “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” marks its 25th anniversary, bringing together its beloved cast for a nostalgic reunion. Millions of viewers fondly remember the show’s memorable music and the portrayal of middle-class family life that aired in the early 2000s.

As part of the silver jubilee celebrations, actresses Sakshi Tanwar, Shweta Kawatra, Sweta Keswani, and Sucheta Trivedi reenacted their roles as Parvati, Pallavi, Avantika, and Shilpa, respectively. Shweta Kawatra shared a video on Instagram highlighting the emotional reunion and captioned it: “We met as strangers. Hung as companions. Turned into a tribe… Either Babuji or Bahus, either marriages or memories… Here, we completed everything. And with Elan, we succeeded!”

Producer Ektaa Kapoor, whose company Balaji Telefilms developed the show, also commemorated the milestone. She reflected on the cultural and emotional impact of the series: “25 years of this show! Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii became a beacon of family values, love, and morality, representing the essence of Indian culture. The nicest part of this journey is that Sakshi’s appearance hasn’t changed!”

Premiering on October 16, 2000, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii ran for eight years, portraying the joys, struggles, and values of middle-class Indian families. The series starred Sakshi Tanwar as Parvati and Kiran Karmarkar as Om Agarwal and remains one of the most celebrated blockbusters in Indian television history.

This reunion not only rekindled cherished memories for the cast but also allowed fans to relive the magic of a show that continues to hold a special place in Indian television culture.
