LUCKNOW: A jewellery shop in the Krishna Nagar area was burgled on the night of December 31, 2024, with silver and gold items reported stolen. The incident occurred at the Vijay Nagar checkpoint, near the canal bridge.
According to the police, the shop owner, Ramendra Yadav, a resident of Alinagar Sunhara, Krishna Nagar, informed the authorities that he had closed his shop around 9:00 PM the previous evening. When he returned in the morning, he discovered that the shutter of his shop had been broken, and some of his silver and gold jewelry had been stolen.
Upon receiving the information, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police immediately visited the crime scene to conduct an inspection. The police then called in the surveillance team and the field unit for further assistance.
As part of the investigation, four teams have been formed, with the authorities reviewing CCTV footage and analyzing BTS data to track down the culprits. Local residents have also been approached for any potential information related to the crime.
A case under sections 331 and 305 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered at the local police station, and the police are working diligently to solve the case. Authorities have assured the public that the investigation is ongoing and the culprits will be apprehended soon.
The robbery has raised concerns among local businesses, and the police are urging residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to assist in solving the case.
