Lucknow। In a heartwarming ceremony, the Inner Wheel Club Lucknow Capital, under the leadership of President Tanuja Jaiswal, donated a vibrant two-seater bench made entirely from 100% recycled plastic waste to the Toy Bank. The bench was developed by the club in September and reflects the organisation’s commitment to sustainability and community welfare.
The bench, crafted from 170 kilograms of clean plastic waste, was dedicated to President Tanuja Jaiswal and her dedicated team, including Secretary Radha Singh and ISO Shashi Singh, for their efforts in bringing the project to life.
The donation ceremony was inaugurated by Prof. M.L.B. Bhatt, Director of Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute. The event was also graced by Dean Dr. Sabuhi Khureshi, along with distinguished doctors Dr. Geetika and Dr. Rakhi.
This colourful bench will be installed in the Inpatient Department (IPD) of the institute. It aims to offer a comfortable seating space for children battling cancer and their families. More importantly, the initiative seeks to bring moments of joy and hope to young patients during their difficult journeys.
The club’s initiative sets an inspiring example of how environmental responsibility can be paired with compassionate community service.
