Indo – China relations changing for the better

New Delhi: The military standoff between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) near Ladakh in 2020 has now been resolved. After discussions at the diplomatic and military level between the two countries, an agreement has been reached on military patrolling, after which the forward deployment from both sides will now end.

A solution is being found for the issue raised in 2020

Foreign Secretary Vikram Mistry gave this information in a press conference held on Monday before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BRICS visit. He said that as a result of discussions held in the last several weeks, an agreement has been reached on the patrolling system on the Line of Actual Control in the India-China border area. This will end the forward deployment and finally a solution is being found to the issue raised in these areas in 2020.

It is worth noting that in 2020, the armies of both the countries came face to face. The clash between the armies of the two countries also resulted in the death of soldiers from both sides. Since then, India-China relations have soured. Later, talks started at the foreign ministry and military level to end this tension.

No official announcement yet

This breakthrough was announced a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Russian city of Kazan to attend the BRICS summit. Although no official announcement has been made, it is expected that Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold a bilateral meeting during the BRICS summit.
