Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Indian Army is the unique army in the world. The Indian Army has always proved its strength, discipline and technical capability not only to the enemies, but has also always provided excellent performance and cooperation by working with a positive role in the country in both good and bad situations.
The Chief Minister expressed his views as the chief guest after inaugurating the Armed Forces Festival at Surya Sports Complex. On this occasion, he observed the Jaguar and Micro Light Air Show, Indian Air Force Drill Display, Indian Navy Brass Band Display, Triservice Weapon Display, War Display, Horse Riding Display, Army Dog Show and Exhibition of Latest Military Equipment. He expressed his gratitude to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and the Indian Armed Forces for organizing this festival in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister said that in this magnificent event, he is feeling very proud to see the display of the Indian Armed Forces becoming strong and self-reliant. This event is a display of the unique strength, discipline and technical capability of our armed forces. This event gives a glimpse of how the enemy can be easily defeated through integrated coordination of the Army, Navy and Air Force.
He expressed confidence that this event will inspire our society, especially the younger generation. Through the Armed Forces Ceremony, people will get an opportunity to understand the strength of the army and the important contribution of our soldiers in the security of the country.
We all saw the display of new generation advanced military equipment in this ceremony, which further strengthens the defense power. The heroic action of the Para Commandos, the unique performance of the trained dog squads of the Army, the excellent training of horses, the power of the most modern combat drones and swarm drones are a symbol of the professional efficiency of our army. The example of coordination presented by the three forces through jointmanship and integration in this program reflects the increasing military strength of the armed forces as well as the strength provided to the national security structure.
The Chief Minister said that the result of the Army, Air Force and Navy working together is that India’s borders are safe and we can face every challenge. We should also remember that our armed forces are not just a defense structure, but they are the strong foundation of our nation’s security.
Our brave soldiers are ready to serve the country without caring for their lives. That is why they receive the respect of the general public as national heroes. We are proud that we have such a capable and dedicated army, which ensures the security of the country.
As a result of the alertness of the brave soldiers of India, today despite adverse circumstances, India is able to protect its borders with full strength and thwart even the biggest conspiracy. As a result of the valor and valor of our brave soldiers, 140 crore countrymen feel safe.
The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh is the land of heroes. Our youth have made a significant contribution in every battle for the security of the country. Many heroes have increased the pride of the country and the state with their valor and valor. The state government is working with full commitment for the welfare of serving soldiers, retired soldiers and brave women. The state government is also providing an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh to the families of soldiers who sacrifice their lives in the protection of the country’s borders, accommodating one member of the martyr’s family in government service, building a memorial to keep the memories of the martyred soldier alive and naming an institution in his name.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has been working rapidly for the last 10 years to make the country self-reliant in the field of defense production. The Prime Minister had announced 02 Defense Industrial Corridors in the country on the occasion of the inauguration of Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit in Lucknow in February 2018. Out of that, one Defense Industrial Corridor is being established at 06 nodes in Uttar Pradesh. The state government is rapidly moving forward the work of construction of this defense corridor in coordination with the Ministry of Defense.
Two important projects are being set up by DRDO Brahmos in Lucknow node of Defense Industrial Corridor and Bharat Dynamics Ltd. in Jhansi node. These projects will strengthen the military power of the country and will also strengthen national security. The development of the most modern equipment and technology will take place on Indian soil, which will make our army even stronger. Uttar Pradesh will always play a leading role in these efforts of national defense. The Defense Corridor will provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state on a large scale.
The Chief Minister said that Defense Expo-2020 was successfully organized in the state capital Lucknow in February 2020. This event proved to be very important from the point of view of investment in the Defense Corridor. Units related to the defense sector like HAL, Ordnance Factories, Bharat Electronics Limited etc. are already working in Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command, Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta and Lieutenant General Mukesh Chaddha, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, senior military officers, Armed Forces Soldiers and other dignitaries were present.
