India condemns Pakistan on its stand on Kashmir in UNGA

India

New Delhi: India has criticized the neighboring country after Pakistan mentioned Kashmir in the United Nations General Assembly. India has condemned Pakistan’s ‘baseless comments’ on Jammu and Kashmir. India has described the statements made by Pakistan on Kashmir as politically motivated and baseless. India attacked Pakistan, saying that this is another habitual attempt to divert attention from the serious violations against children in its own country.

During an open debate on children and armed conflict at the United Nations Security Council, India’s Deputy Representative to the United Nations R Ravindra said  that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and separate parts of India.

‘I completely reject all baseless comments’

Before concluding his remarks during the debate, R. Ravindra said that in order to save time, I would like to briefly respond to the comments that are clearly politically motivated and baseless, made by a representative against my country. I completely reject and condemn these baseless comments.

He further said, “This is nothing but another habitual attempt to divert attention from the grave violations against children that continue unabated in his own country, as highlighted in this year’s Secretary-General’s report on children and armed conflict.

As for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, they were, are and will always remain an integral and inseparable part of India, regardless of what this Special Representative or his country may believe or want.
