Bareilly: An important MoU was signed between Indian Veterinary Research Institute and MSD Animal Health (Intervet India Private Limited) at IVRI. On this occasion, the Institute’s Director Dr. Triveni Dutt and MSD Animal Health’s Managing Director Dr. Yash Goyal signed the MoU. Apart from this, mutual cooperation will be done in internship and public private partnership in future.
On this occasion, the Institute’s Director Dr. Triveni Dutt said that this is the first MoU which is being done for the fellowship of the BVAC students of the Institute. He said that such a MoU will not only inspire the students of the Institute but will also promote public private partnership and more work can be done on quality control and research and diagnosis.
Dr. Dutt informed that under this, MSD Animal Health Institute will provide fellowship to 2 students each of second, third and fourth year B.V.Sc. Fellowship of Rs. 1.5 lakh will be given to second and third year students and Rs. 2 lakh each to fourth year students.
Dr. Yash Goyal, Managing Director, MSD Animal Health (Intervet India Private Limited) explained about MSD to the students and said that there is a great opportunity for career options for students in private industry/corporate sector. He advocated increasing the participation of women veterinarians in the corporate sector and said that on an average 15 percent women veterinarians are working in private organizations. We have to increase this ratio. He interacted with the B.V.Sc. students and resolved their queries about the corporate sector.
The program was conducted by Incharge, ITMU Dr. Anuj Chauhan while vote of thanks was given by scientist of Biological Products Department Dr. Ajay Kumar Yadav. On this occasion, Joint Director, Research, Dr. S.K. Singh, Joint Director, Academics, Dr. S.K. Mendiratta, Joint Director, Extension Education, Dr. Roopsi Tiwari, Academic Coordinator of the Sam Vishwavidyalaya, Dr. Gyanendra Singh, Coordinator of BVSc & H, Dr. Rajat Garg and Dr. Abhishek and Student Welfare Officer, Dr. S.K. Saha, Director, Ruminant Business, MSD Animal Health (Intervet India Private Limited), Dr. Brijesh Singh, Dr. Smita Mahajan, Assistant Director, Regulatory Affairs, Dr. Medha Pranjape Assistant Director, HR Business Partner etc. were present.
