Lucknow: In the 33rd All India RPF Volleyball Championship, host NR (Northern Railway) had to face defeat in the semi-final match. Eastern Railway today defeated NR Lucknow Division in the semi-final match. In the match played for the third place, NR defeated South Railway. RPF defeated South Railway and Eastern Zone defeated North Railway in the semi-final match to make it to the final.
In the semi-final played , the semi-final match was played between Eastern Railway and Northern Railway in Court One at RPF (Railway Protection Special Force) ground. Eastern Railway defeated North Railway in straight three sets 25-21, 25-15 and 25-20 to make it to the final. In the second semi-final, RPF defeated South Railway 25-12, 25-19, 23-25, 25-22.
The match was played between NR and South Railway for the third place. NR won 25-15, 27-29, 25-19, 25-15 and secured the third position. In women’s volleyball, the women’s NR team failed in front of South Railway. South Railway won the match in straight three sets 25-7, 25-16 and 25-11. In the other semi-final, Eastern Railway defeated South Eastern Railway and made it to the final.
