Ayodhya: The sacred city of Ayodhya is abuzz with fervent preparations to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Ram, known as Ram Navami, on April 6, 2025. This year’s festivities hold special significance as they mark the first Ram Navami since the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol in the newly constructed grand Ram Temple.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has meticulously planned a series of rituals and cultural events to commemorate this auspicious occasion:

Abhishek Ceremony: The day’s rituals will commence at 9:30 AM with the ‘Abhishek’ (anointment) of Ram Lalla, involving sacred offerings such as Panchamrit and water from the holy Saryu River. This ceremony will conclude by 10:30 AM.

Shringar and Bhog: Following the Abhishek, from 10:40 AM to 11:45 AM, the deity will be adorned in new attire and ornaments in the Shringar ceremony. Subsequently, a special offering (Bhog) will be presented to Ram Lalla at 11:45 AM.

Ram Janmotsav: The pinnacle of the celebrations, marking the exact moment of Lord Ram’s birth, will be observed at 12:00 PM. During this time, a unique celestial event is anticipated where the sun’s rays will illuminate the deity’s forehead, symbolizing the Sun God’s blessings upon the newborn divine prince.
In addition to these rituals, the temple premises will resonate with continuous recitations of the Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas. Devotees will also partake in the chanting of the Durga Saptashati, with a target of offering 100,000 sacred mantras. A special Yagna (fire ritual) will be conducted in the temple’s Yagyashala to invoke divine blessings.
The Trust has extended an open invitation to devotees worldwide to join the celebrations. To accommodate the anticipated influx of pilgrims, extensive arrangements have been made, including enhanced security measures, sanitation facilities, and lodging provisions. The entire city is adorned with festive decorations, reflecting the collective joy and devotion of the people.
This Ram Navami is poised to be a historic event, symbolizing not only the birth of Lord Ram but also the enduring faith and unity of millions of devotees who have awaited the completion of the Ram Temple for generations.
