Global Experts Warn of World War III Within a Decade

Washington: The world is treading a perilous path geopolitically, with multiple instances where nuclear war seemed imminent post the Ukraine conflict. However, the future holds even graver concerns. According to a recent survey conducted by the Atlantic Council, a global affairs think tank based in Washington, the onset of World War III is inevitable and may occur within the next ten years.

Over 300 experts participated in this survey, discussing how the world might shape up by 2035. Several experts predict that a full-scale war between global superpowers such as the United States, China, and Russia could erupt within this timeframe. Meanwhile, others believe that climate change will pose the greatest threat to humanity over the next decade.

A report by the Daily Mail highlights that 357 political strategists took part in the survey, forecasting significant shifts in global dynamics. Alarmingly, four out of ten experts predict that a war involving the U.S., China, and Russia is imminent. Some even speculate that such a conflict will not be confined to Earth but will extend into outer space.

How Dangerous Will the Next Decade Be?

During the survey, three out of ten experts identified climate change as the most pressing global concern by 2035. Additionally, around 1.7% of experts foresee a potential global pandemic emerging within the next ten years. Furthermore, 5.1% predict that financial debt crises could cripple global economies. Analysts also assert that the conclusion of the Ukraine conflict will not bode well for Ukraine itself, and the U.S. will witness a decline in both its economic and diplomatic dominance. The consensus remains that the threat of nuclear war is still very real.

The Atlantic Council’s research team stated, “These alarming forecasts paint a grim picture of the future global landscape. A staggering 62% of experts predict that the world will be worse off in a decade compared to today, while only 38% foresee improvement.” The most concerning issue, as cited by the experts, remains the potential for nuclear war. However, many also argue that climate change could lead to similarly catastrophic consequences. Three out of ten experts believe that climate change will be the biggest hurdle to global development between 2025 and 2035.
