Lucknow: The Department of Management, Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Lucknow successfully organized a felicitation programme to honour Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, our honourable Vice-Chancellor.
The event celebrated his exceptional leadership and guidance in the creation of the new Faculty of Management Studies.
The event commenced with a warm welcome for Prof. Alok Kumar Rai and other dignitaries at the entrance. The new Faculty of Management Studies plaque was unveiled, symbolizing a significant milestone. Prof. Sangeeta Sahu, Founder Dean FMSLU and Head, Department of Management, delivered a warm and insightful welcome address. In her welcome address, Prof. Sangeeta Sahu remarked, “Prof. Alok Kumar Rai’s vision and dedication have been instrumental in the establishment and growth of the Faculty of Management Studies.
Under his dynamic leadership, the University has achieved significant milestones in academic excellence and research advancements.” The first volume of the Monthly Academic Research Spectrum was also launched in the event. This is an initiative to share the research work done by the research scholars of the department to a wide range of audience across the globe.
The Felicitation programme featured an inspiring address by Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, who shared his insights on the future of management education and research. Prof. Alok Rai mentioned that “With any authority comes enormous responsibility which includes foremost responsibility towards our students. With this we can think of aspiring towards obtaining accreditation for faculty of management studies”.
He also focussed on the need of human centrism in management education and research. He talked about Society 5.0 and how the education system can be reinvented with an approach towards human centrism in the dissemination of education. His words resonated deeply with the audience, especially the research scholars, who found his guidance invaluable for their academic and professional journeys.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anu Kohli, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Alok Kumar Rai and all attendees.
The event was attended by all the faculty members, staff and research scholars of the Department of Management along with distinguished guests from various administrative office bearers of the University of Lucknow. It was a momentous occasion that celebrated the remarkable contributions of Prof. Alok Kumar Rai and inspired the University community to strive for excellence.
