Lucknow: Under the guidance and direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approval for the post of ARTO and MVI (Motor Vehicle Inspector) has been given by the Finance Department to effectively address the challenge of road safety.
In the first phase, approval for 50 posts of ARTO Road Safety and 351 posts of MVI has been received from the Finance Department. Thanking the Chief Minister for the approval of ARTO and MVI for road safety, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Daya Shankar Singh said that this is an important achievement for the Transport Department. This will further speed up the work of road safety.
The Transport Minister said that in view of the importance of road safety, the Transport Department will appoint ARTO Road Safety in the remaining districts in the next phase as well. So that along with safety, all the people of the state can be made aware about road safety.
The government’s intention is to make people aware on a wider level to bring about a significant reduction in road accidents in the state. The Transport Minister said that road safety is the top priority of the government. The state government is taking every possible step to ensure the safety of every person.
In view of this, the Additional Chief Secretary of the department, L. Venkateshwar Lu, Transport Commissioner, Chandrabhushan Singh, Road Safety in-charge Pushpasen Satyarthi gave a departmental presentation.
