Lucknow: In preparation for upcoming festivals such as Eid and Sharadiya Navratri, Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar has issued necessary directives to responsible officers. In the midst of these preparations, a surprise inspection by DGP Kumar caused a stir in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate. The DGP conducted an unexpected visit to the Sarojininagar police station, catching officers off guard.
It is reported that the sudden arrival of the DGP left police officials scrambling. During the inspection, DGP Kumar thoroughly examined the barracks and the police station premises. He also provided necessary instructions to ACP Krishna Nagar and the Sarojininagar Station House Officer (SHO).
Direct Visit from Kanpur Event
On Tuesday, an event was held to mark the completion of four years of the Kanpur Nagar Police Commissionerate. As the head of the police department, DGP Prashant Kumar attended the event. On his way back, he made an unannounced stop at the Sarojininagar police station for an inspection late at night.
Upon his sudden arrival, police personnel and officials were left astonished. The DGP meticulously examined the barracks and the entire police station premises. During his visit, he also gathered information from officials regarding security arrangements in the area and other operational matters.

Cleanliness Issues Identified
During his inspection, DGP Prashant Kumar inquired about the security measures in the area, patrolling routines, and other essential issues. He emphasized the need to handle every minor and major incident with seriousness. However, he noted deficiencies in cleanliness at the police station.
As a result, the DGP directed ACP Krishna Nagar and the SHO of Sarojininagar to ensure better cleanliness and maintenance of the station.
With major festivals approaching, DGP Kumar has issued strict directives to responsible police officials to ensure law and order. He has instructed officers to maintain a close watch on both physical security measures and social media activities to prevent any untoward incidents during the festive period.
