Walt Disney Pictures is producing, and Barry Jenkins is directing the forthcoming American musical drama Mufasa: The Lion King. The 2019 remake of the iconic 1994 movie is both a prequel and a sequel to the photorealistically animated movie. In addition to recurring actors Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, John Kani, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, the ensemble also includes newcomers Aaron Pierre, Mads Mikkelsen, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. Notably, Blue Ivy Carter makes her feature film debut in this movie.
Baby John, the forthcoming action film starring Varun Dhawan, is also getting ready for release. The film, which is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions, will be released in theaters on December 25. It stars Varun Dhawan in the titular character, along with Keerthy Suresh (in her first Hindi film), Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff.
