Lucknow: Among the oldest schools in the city, Colvin Taluqdars’ College has a rich history and many established people have passed out of this very institution. Like every year, this year too the students of Colvin Taluqdars’ College were made school office bearers during investiture ceremony to appoint the student’s council for the academic year 2024-25.
At the investiture ceremony, students were appointed as college captain, college vice-captain, head girl and sports captain. House captains, vice-captains and prefects of the five houses were also sworn in.
Gracing the occasion as chief guest was Major General Salil Seth, GOC, MUPSA, Lucknow. Principal Sachidanand Singh administered the oath of office to the newly appointed student council. The chief guest meanwhile pinned their respective badges on their academic gowns.
Addressing students, Major General Salil Seth emphasised the importance of NCC in the life of students.
He urged students to do their best in whatever they choose to do and remembered with nostalgia his days spent as a boarder in the school’s Anjuman boarding house.
Guests present on this occasion included Vasudhendra Pratap Singh, old boy Dinesh Chandra Pandey, headmistress Sangeeta Chauhan and principal of UP Board Anupama Singh.
