Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-site inspection of the proposed venue for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public rally, scheduled to be held on August 2 in Banouli village, Sevapuri block, Varanasi. Emphasizing the importance of seamless arrangements, the CM instructed all concerned officials to complete preparations on time and ensure public convenience.
During the review, CM Yogi stressed that attendees must not face any difficulties. He directed that essential facilities like drinking water, toilets, proper ventilation, and other amenities at the rally site be made available well in advance.
He also laid special emphasis on security arrangements, instructing law enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security not just at the venue but also in surrounding areas. Smooth traffic management and adequate parking arrangements for vehicles arriving at the event were also highlighted as top priorities.
Senior police officials were directed to identify suitable parking areas for incoming vehicles and deploy personnel to maintain order. Varanasi Commissioner S. Rajalingam presented a detailed layout of the preparations via maps, outlining the proposed arrangements at the venue.

The inspection was attended by several dignitaries and senior officials, including Minister for Labour and Employment Coordination Anil Rajbhar, Minister of AYUSH and Food Safety (Independent Charge) Dr. Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, MLC Hansraj Vishwakarma, legislators Dr. Awadhesh Singh and Sushil Singh, Commissioner S. Rajalingam, Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal, District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar, and other key administrative and departmental officials.
With the high-profile rally approaching, the Chief Minister’s review comes as part of a broader strategy to ensure flawless execution and public safety, reflecting the state’s commitment to efficient governance and security management during major political events.
