Lucknow: The foot overbridge near Ekana Cricket Stadium in CG City (Chak Ganjaria) is set to transform into a vibrant destination for foodies and fun enthusiasts. Spanning a 20,000-square-meter area, the surrounding space will be developed into a creative and recreational hub by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), which has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the project.
Focus on Art, Craft, and Culture
Prathamesh Kumar, Vice Chairman of LDA, shared that the area near Harmony Park in CG City will be revamped into a zone that highlights art, craft, and culture. Seven shops will be constructed under the foot overbridge, where visitors can enjoy a diverse range of cuisines. Additionally, the space will feature a dedicated area for cultural activities, such as art exhibitions, open-mic events, theater performances, and mime shows.
The development also includes plans for an Interpretation Center, offering detailed information about wetlands and birds to raise awareness among visitors.
Prime Location with Easy Connectivity
The foot overbridge is located just one kilometer from Shaheed Path and Ekana Cricket Stadium, ensuring easy access for visitors. The proximity to the developing Central Business District (CBD) further enhances its potential as a future entertainment hub for the city.
A Hub of Entertainment and Food
The proposed development aims to create a lively atmosphere for residents and tourists alike. Alongside the food outlets, the area will host art galleries and cultural events, making it an attractive spot for people of all interests.
The Vice Chairman added that an external agency will be engaged to develop and operate the project, for which the RFP has been issued.
This initiative promises to add a new dimension to Lucknow’s urban and cultural landscape, turning the CG City foot overbridge into a go-to destination for leisure and entertainment.
