Lucknow: The seven-day ‘Amritotsav’ organized by the Documentary Films and Theatrical Trust (DFTT) in Lucknow city is going on. In this, a picture exhibition depicting various aspects of Amrit Lal Nagar’s life is going on. This picture exhibition is the result of deep research on Nagar’s life and his creative journey.
Under this seven-day ‘Amritotsav’, a one-day seminar was organized in A P Sen Auditorium, Lucknow University. Apart from Nagar’s daughter and famous film writer Dr. Achala Nagar, well-known theater artist Anil Rastogi, senior litterateur Surya Prakash Dixit, Dr. Vidya Bindu, senior theater artist Sultan Ahmed Rizvi and many other eminent personalities participated in this ‘one-day seminar’.
On this occasion, senior litterateur Surya Prakash Dixit spoke in detail about Nagar’s life and some of his selected novels like ‘Yeh Kothewaliyaan’, ‘Naachyon Bahut Gopal’, ‘Ekda Naimisharanya’, ‘Boond Aur Samudra’ and many other interesting things related to the novels.
Dr Anil Rastogi refreshed the memories of Nagar’s theatre and told that Nagar did many new experiments in the theatre world.
Dr. Mahendra Singh, MLC (Former Minister, Uttar Pradesh) was the chief guest at the inauguration of this seminar. Pro Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Professor Manuka Khanna said that we are feeling proud to cooperate in a one-day seminar on a renowned litterateur like Amritlal Nagar.
Mukesh Bahadur, Chairman Indo-American Chamber of Commerce said that I have also seen the painting exhibition.
