BSP to pick candidates with greater caution next time

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati said after the election results that we gave adequate representation to Muslims in this Lok Sabha election and in the previous elections too, but we did not get enough support and they could not understand us properly. Therefore, from now on we will give them a chance only after careful consideration, so that the party does not suffer such a loss.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has not won a single seat in the Lok Sabha elections. In 2019, BSP got 10 seats in alliance with SP. But in 2024, the party could not win a single seat.

Similar results were expected from BSP in this election, because they do not have the same organization as before. Apart from this, she is losing elections continuously.

The strategy of BSP to contest the elections alone had the opposite effect. The party had to face a crushing defeat due to this decision of theirs. BSP’s traditional voters Jatav Samaj also turned away from them in this election. Most of their candidates have been at third place on 79 seats.

At some places, they have seen hope in Samajwadi Party or Chandrashekhar Azad and Congress. However, there are some old voters who consider them as their leader. However, this is being confirmed in the results.

A senior BSP leader said on the condition of anonymity that BSP has made the biggest mistake this time by not forming an alliance. After this, the second biggest mistake was made by removing Akash Anand from the post and campaign.

Fighting the election not in alliance with the opposition became a danger for them. The party’s social engineering formulas failed completely. In their place, SP used this formula properly and it also got success. BSP did not give tickets to most of the MPs who won in 2019. They had to suffer the consequences.
