Lucknow: BJP has expelled Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh from the party, the party was angry with him contesting as an independent from Karakat seat. Pawan Singh was also asked by BJP to withdraw his nomination. However, he flatly refused to withdraw his nomination. Actually, NDA Alliance in Bihar has made Upendra Kushwaha its candidate from Karakat Lok Sabha seat. But BJP leader Pawan Singh had decided to contest the elections as an independent from this seat, due to which Bihar BJP leaders were angry with him.
Party leaders had also warned him and asked him to withdraw his nomination. But Pawan Singh had clearly refused to step back. After which, on the orders of BJP State President, Pawan Singh has been expelled from the party for anti-party work and tarnishing the image of the party.
U turn of Pawan Singh, who returned BJP ticket, said – will contest elections
It is noteworthy that BJP had earlier declared Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh as its candidate from Asansol in West Bengal. But Pawan Singh returned the ticket. After this he had announced to contest elections from Karakat as an independent candidate. Upendra Kushwaha is in the fray as NDA candidate from Karakat.
