Director’s Statement OP Srivastava said – I believe a film is a powerful medium for updating the emotional software of the masses in today’s hardened ecosystem, where human values, emotions and sensibilities are fast getting eroded by the onslaught of increasing materialistic greed, hypocrisy and self-indulgence. ‘Banwari Ki Amma’ is a small attempt to stir the conscience of the people and remind them about the essence of life including its fragility. It is a simple , yet moving story told in a classic cinematic style making evocatively nostalgic use of confined spaces and the characters.
