Lucknow: For the first time, the revered Acharya Pundrik Goswami has arrived in the capital to deliver the sacred Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. The event commenced on Sunday at the DAV College grounds in the Aishbagh area. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak inaugurated the ceremony, marking the beginning of an enchanting spiritual journey.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy CM remarked, “This auspicious event is taking place in the city of Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram. The arrival of Maharaj has truly blessed our city.”
Spiritual Insights from Acharya Pundrik Goswami
Acharya Pundrik Goswami began the Katha by paying homage to Mani Chhawani, the sacred place in Ayodhya from where he arrived. Speaking eloquently, he shared divine teachings inspired by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. His powerful oratory captivated the audience, leaving everyone mesmerized. The entire pandal resonated with devotion as devotees engaged in melodious kirtans of Radha Raman.
In his discourse, Goswami Maharaj emphasized the essence of service as the highest form of devotion. “Shrimad Bhagwat,” he explained, “can be encapsulated in just five words—service is supreme devotion.” Highlighting the diverse forms of idols worshipped in society, he spoke about five types:
- Chitpat Vigrah (mental visualization),
- Mitti Vigrah (clay idols),
- Dhaatu Vigrah (metal idols),
- Lakdi Vigrah (wooden idols), and
- Pashaan Vigrah (stone idols).
He urged devotees to absorb every word of the Katha and embrace its teachings wholeheartedly.
A Divine Atmosphere
The pandal was infused with devotion and spirituality as the audience immersed themselves in the nectar of bhakti (devotion). The soulful Radha Raman kirtans filled the air, creating an environment of divine bliss. Devotees present at the event experienced a profound connection to the sacred narrative, soaking in the essence of devotion and spiritual wisdom.
