Lucknow: Lucknow’s rising tennis star, Ashi Kiran, delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the Girls’ Under-16 singles title at the Chandra Prakash Agarwal Memorial UP State Ranking Tennis Tournament. Organized under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association, the tournament was hosted at the SDS Lamartiniere Tennis Facility by SDS Tennis Academy.

In a thrilling final, Ashi defeated Zufisha Khan 6-4, 7-5 in a match that lasted two hours. Demonstrating exceptional skill and composure, Ashi’s powerful forehand shots and accurate serves proved to be the key to her victory.

Girls’ Under-16 Final: A Display of Skill and Resilience

The final was an intense contest, with both players showcasing remarkable court coverage and tactical gameplay. Ashi won the first set 6-4, leveraging her well-timed shots and dominating crucial moments.

The second set brought even tougher competition as Zufisha pushed back, forcing Ashi to engage in extended rallies. At one point, the set seemed destined for a tiebreaker. However, Ashi maintained her focus and sealed the set 7-5 with a combination of precision and patience, securing her title.

This victory marked Ashi’s second triumph in the tournament, having previously won the Girls’ Under-12 title.

Boys’ Under-10 Final: Rudransh Pandey Emerges Victorious

In the Boys’ Under-10 category, Rudransh Pandey emerged as the champion with a commanding win over Ayansh Pathak. Rudransh defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-1, showcasing exceptional groundstrokes and a fast-paced game.

Rudransh’s strategic play and powerful strokes gave him the edge, allowing him to claim the title with ease.
