Lucknow | A one-day training programme on the Bharat Pashudhan App was organised at the State Institute of Rural Development, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow, under the National Digital Livestock Mission (NDLM). The session was chaired by Uttar Pradesh Livestock and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh and jointly hosted by the Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board and the Animal Husbandry Department.
Digital Registration and Real-Time Data
Minister Dharampal Singh announced that through the Bharat Pashudhan App:
- Registration of animals and livestock owners will be done digitally.
- Breeding and health data of animals will be recorded online.
- Real-time information on diseases, vaccination, and artificial insemination will be available.
- Details of high-quality germplasm animals will be easily accessible to farmers.
He added that digital record-keeping will improve transparency, planning, and service delivery in the livestock sector.
Experts Emphasise Digital Transformation
- L. Venkateshwar Lu, Director General of the Deendayal Upadhyaya State Institute of Rural Development, said a digital database is essential for progress in animal husbandry.
- Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary (Livestock), urged officials to maximise data entry on the app.
- Devendra Pandey, Special Secretary (Livestock), explained the technical aspects of digital record-keeping.
Technical Sessions on App Modules
Trainers Navin Singh and Dr. Jigar Rawal from NDDB, NDLM Group conducted detailed sessions on:
- Admin Module
- Animal Breeding Module
- Animal Health Module
Statewide Participation
The programme saw wide participation from:

- Nodal officers and computer operators of all UP districts
- Representatives from Veterinary Science University
- Milk producer companies
- NGOs
Call for Timely Data Entry
Dr. Yogendra Singh Pawar (Director, Administration & Development) and Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh (Chief Executive, UP Livestock Development Board) urged participants to enter data on time to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Veenu Pandey, Deputy Director of the Council.
This training marks a significant step toward digital transformation of animal health and breeding management in Uttar Pradesh, paving the way for smarter livestock governance.
