Nandan Nilekani Shares Insights at ‘AI-Enabling Invest UP’ Workshop in Bengaluru

Bengaluru/Lucknow: Invest UP, the investment promotion agency of Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the OneStep Foundation, organized a special workshop on “AI-Enabling Invest UP.” The session focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance investor facilitation, streamline communication, and position Uttar Pradesh as a digitally empowered investment destination.

The highlight of the event was an inspiring address by Infosys Co-Founder and Non-Executive Chairman Nandan Nilekani, who spoke on “AI: Trends, Opportunities, Challenges, and New Horizons.” Nilekani emphasized how AI can accelerate innovation, transform industries, and further drive India’s growth story.

The workshop was attended by Vijay Kiran Anand, CEO of Invest UP, Shashank Chaudhary, Additional CEO, and the Invest UP team. Key discussions included the use of AI-driven market intelligence for sectoral analysis and long-term forecasting, transforming unstructured public data into structured formats for better decision-making, and integrating conversational bots across Invest UP platforms.

Other proposed initiatives included self-service tools, subsidy tracking systems, and personalized advisory services to simplify investor journeys. AI applications were also highlighted as crucial in improving outreach, offering seamless consultation, minimizing manual intervention, and identifying potential challenges in advance.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Kiran Anand said, “Artificial Intelligence will play a decisive role in ensuring faster decision-making, greater transparency, and enhanced ease of doing business in Uttar Pradesh.”

The workshop concluded with a strategic roadmap for integrating AI across all investor touchpoints, aligning with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy.

Notably, Nandan Nilekani is also the Co-Founder and Chairperson of the OneStep Foundation, which works to improve literacy and numeracy among children through technology.
