Lucknow: Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Muslim Waqf and Haj, Uttar Pradesh, Danish Azad Ansari met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and requested for modernization of madrasas and implementation of schemes related to educational, economic, physical and mental development of students of minority community.
He said that your leadership is highly commendable and inspiring for comprehensive improvement in education in Uttar Pradesh. Madrasa Modernization Scheme for Providing Education to Madrasas and Minorities (SPEMM) was launched. This scheme is very important for bringing the students of minority society into the mainstream and for their overall development.
Under this scheme, the honorarium of the teachers teaching modern subjects has been borne by the Central Government and the State Government, but at present some difficulties are being faced in the implementation of this scheme, which can prove to be more effective if resolved soon.
He requested to organize a three-day state level sports competition with the aim of encouraging the physical and mental development of students in the madrasas of Uttar Pradesh. He said that this will increase the interest of students towards sports and they will be inspired to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Ansari informed the Chief Minister that it would be very beneficial if the Minority Welfare Department starts an Upliftment Program for Minority Girls (UPMG) program with your inspiration to connect minority women and girl students with the government schemes, to provide them career counseling and better employment opportunities. Minority girls will get an opportunity to achieve new heights in the field of education and employment. He told that the talks with the Chief Minister were positive.
