Notorious scamster nabbed by cops after evading arrest for years

Lucknow: In a significant breakthrough, Hazratganj Police have apprehended Kanhaiya Lal Sharma, a notorious fraudster involved in scams worth crores across multiple states. Known for duping authorities and businessmen alike, Sharma had been eluding police forces from Delhi, Mumbai, Banda, Varanasi, Lucknow, Mahoba, and Kanpur for an extended period.

Under the leadership of Inspector Vikram Singh and the direction of DCP Central Raveena Tyagi, the Hazratganj Police successfully executed the arrest. Sharma’s elaborate scams involved embezzling vast sums of money by forming his own company and offering fraudulent government contracts and leases to unsuspecting businessmen. He would accept large amounts of money, issue fake cheques, and then vanish without a trace.

Sharma was known for his sophisticated operations. He set up an office in a luxurious apartment, hiring multiple employees to maintain the appearance of a legitimate business. To avoid capture, he even placed a lookalike in his office, ensuring that any sudden police raids would be misdirected.

Despite several raids by police teams from various cities, Sharma remained a step ahead of the law until the Hazratganj Police devised a meticulous strategy to ensnare him. His arrest marks the end of a long-standing chase and brings hope for justice to those he defrauded.

Authorities are now investigating further to recover the embezzled funds and trace his complete network of accomplices.
