Lucknow: The Mohanlalganj police successfully dismantled a notorious gang of bike thieves operating between Unnao and Lucknow, arresting the kingpin and his associates. In the operation, the police recovered ten stolen motorcycles.
The gang, primarily composed of youths from Purva area of Unnao, had been involved in a series of bike thefts in areas including Ashiana, Krishnanagar, Sarojininagar, PGI, and Mohanlalganj. The stolen bikes were sold at low prices to local people and a junk dealer in Unnao. The gang leader was also transporting stolen bikes to Nepal for sale.
The kingpin, who has around one and a half dozen cases of theft registered against him in various police stations, was apprehended along with his accomplices.
This major breakthrough was achieved under the supervision of DCP Tej Swaroop Singh, with the guidance of ADCP Shashank Singh and ACP Radharaman Singh. Inspector Alok Rao and the Mohanlalganj police team played a crucial role in bringing down the gang and recovering the stolen bikes.
