Lucknow: The 42nd All India KD Singh ‘Babu’ Men’s Invitation Prize Money Hockey Competition is being organized from 04 to 12 October 2024 by the Regional Sports Office, Lucknow under the aegis of Sports Department, Uttar Pradesh at Padmashree Mohd. Shahid Synthetic Hockey Stadium, Vijayantkhand, Gomtinagar, Lucknow.
On 05.10.2024, the third match of the competition was played between UP XI vs GST Central Chennai in which the UP XI team defeated GST Central Chennai by a one-sided margin of 6-0 goals. Ajeet Yadav from UP XI team scored one field goal each in the 5th minute of the match, Shivam Anand in the 21st minute of the match, Shahrukh Ali in the 26th minute of the match, Akash Yadav in the 30th minute of the match and again Shivam Dubey in the 48th minute of the match, making their team’s score 5-0. In the last minute of the match, Manish Sahni converted a penalty corner into a goal and gave his team a 6-0 victory.
The fourth match of the competition was played between Mumbai Customs vs PSB, in which Mumbai Customs defeated PSB by 5-2. In the 7th minute of the match, Aniket Gaurav from Mumbai Customs team scored a field goal and made his team’s score 1-0, in response to which Jaskaran Singh from PSB team scored a goal from penalty stroke in the 19th minute of the match and brought his team to a 1-1 draw. Mumbai Customs players attacked strongly and in the 20th minute of the match Iktidar Ishrat scored a field goal and in the 36th minute Roshan Ikka converted a penalty corner into a goal and made his team’s score 3-1. In the 41st minute of the match, Paramveer Singh from PSB team scored a goal from penalty corner and made his team’s score 3-2. In the 46th minute of the match, again Dhairyasheel Jadhav from Mumbai Customs team and in the last minute of the match in the 60th minute Naman Sharma scored a field goal each and made their team’s score 5-2. This score remained till the end.
