Lucknow: On one magnificent evening, the FAMA was suffused with an electric fervor as La Martiniere Girls’ College was transformed into a bastion of artistic excellence by its middle school prodigies. The curtains unfurled to reveal an awe-inspiring rendition of ‘The Lion King’ – a masterfully executed English play replete with vibrant musical interludes such as ‘Hakuna Matata.’ The students’ portrayal of enduring themes – growth, responsibility, and the cyclical nature of life – was executed with a finesse that belied their tender years, immersing the audience in the majestic allure of the African savannah.
Transitioning seamlessly from drama to dance, the evening featured an entrancing performance of the Rajasthani Ghoomar, where the dancers’ graceful movements evoked the regal spirit of Rajasthan’s rich culture. The French choir captivated all with their sublime interpretation of ‘Tout à la fois.’ The vivacious ‘Let’s Do the Twist’ invigorated the crowd, inducing joyous swaying, while the Hindi play ‘Badalte Chehre’ infused the evening with humor and poignant reflection through its engaging qawwalis.
