Lucknow: Enthusiastic participation of students and art lovers in the painting workshop organized at Lalit Kala Akademi under “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” was a major draw.
Lalit Kala Akademi has been continuously carrying out art activities for the promotion and development of art and artists. Which mainly includes providing opportunities to work through workshops for the convenience of artists, art camps, exhibitions, scholarships etc.
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav through programs like Tiranga Run under “Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan” (9-15 August 2024). The objective of this campaign is to inspire personal attachment and patriotism towards the national flag among the countrymen. Continuing the tradition, a painting workshop of 200 students was organized at Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Center Lucknow.
The workshop was attended by working artists of Lucknow University, Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Lucknow, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Government Women’s Post Graduate College, Aliganj, Lucknow, Goel Institute, Study Hall School Gomti Nagar along with students and artists from various schools and colleges as well as art lovers with great enthusiasm.
During this program, the participants expressed their respect and feelings towards the tricolor through their art. Art materials, T-shirts, caps and tricolors were distributed by Lalit Kala Akademi to all the participants who participated in the workshop.
The Regional Secretary of Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Lucknow said, the tricolor is a symbol of our freedom struggle and such events are a means to further strengthen the spirit of patriotism in the new generation. On this occasion, Lalit Kala Akademi also reiterated its resolve to make continuous efforts to increase awareness towards the national flag and encourage the spirit of patriotism among the students.
