Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh government is engaged in large-scale preparations for the Mahakumbh-2025 to be held in Prayagraj. A record number of devotees from all over the country and the world are expected to attend this event which will last for about two months. The state government in Uttar Pradesh is making special preparations regarding their health. In this, special focus is also being done for the diagnosis of problems related to the health of women and children.

For this, there is a plan to deploy more than four hundred doctors as well as more than 700 paramedical staff in the Kumbh Mela area. This medical team will provide its services 24 hours. At the same time, a large number of beds will also be reserved in the Kumbh Mela area for women and children. Also, gynecologists and pediatricians will be deployed shift-wise for their treatment. 407 doctors will be posted in the fair area, gynecologists will be present 24 hours.

Special focus on health facilities

Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that 407 doctors will be posted in the fair area to provide 24-hour health services to the devotees. Along with this, 182 nursing staff, 150 ward boys, 354 pharmacists and 60 lab technicians will also be deployed. He told that a large number of women devotees are expected to come to the Maha Kumbh. In such a situation, special arrangements are being made to provide them better health facilities. 48 women doctors will provide their services in three shifts in the hospitals located in the fair area.

Apart from this, gynecologists will also be deployed in the fair area 24 hours a day. At the same time, a labor room is being set up in the central hospital. Along with this, there will be a team of 40 specialist doctors. Apart from this, emergency services will also be available 24 hours a day in CHC and PHC. Instructions have been given to make adequate arrangements for additional medicines, dressings and other things here.

48 beds will be reserved for women and 15 for children

Additional Director Health Prayagraj Dr. Rakesh Sharma said that as per the wishes of CM Yogi, separate wards will be made for women and children in the hospitals of Mahakumbh Mela area. For this, 6 gynecologists and 6 pediatricians will be deployed on shift basis. All of them will provide their services 24 hours. He told that a temporary central hospital of 100 beds will be built in the fair area. In this, 30 beds will be reserved for women and 10 beds for children.

Joint Director Health Dr. Vivek Kumar Mishra said that 10 beds will be reserved for women and 3 beds for children in the sub-central hospital. Similarly, 8 beds will be reserved for women and 2 beds for children in sector hospitals. Not only this, a drug de-addiction center will be established in the fair area, where people will be told about the ill effects of drug addiction by the counselor. A pediatric counselor will be deployed here.
