36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament kickstarts with a bang at Ekana

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament at the Ekana Stadium. During this, he said that whether it is Khelo India, Fit India Movement or MP Sports Competition… they have taken forward a new sports culture… youth are coming forward. If someone wins a gold medal in the Olympics in a single game… then we provide an amount of ₹ 06 crore to that player on behalf of the state government.

He said, India’s hockey team won a bronze medal after many years in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics… We directly appointed that team member Lalit Upadhyay to the post of Deputy SP in Uttar Pradesh Police. There should be a playground in every village… We have told every district administration for this. If children take interest in sports, at least they will not go in the wrong direction.

He said in the last 10 years, under the guidance of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sports activities have expanded in the country. ‘Khelo India’, ‘Fit India Movement’ and ‘MP Sports.

He also said, we have created a corpus fund of ₹ 500 crores. In case of untimely death of any advocate… the amount which was earlier given to his family of ₹ 1.5 lakh… has been increased to ₹ 05 lakh.
