Lucknow: A team of 34 auditors from 23 countries visited Lucknow University on April 01, 2024 for the 159th International Training Program on “Implementation Audit” organized by International Center for Information Systems and Auditing (ICISA).
During their visit, the team of 34 auditors from 23 countries visited Lucknow University to obtain information about various aspects of academic excellence prevalent there, as well as its historical and cultural sites. The team was welcomed with roses by the teachers of the university.
Dean of Recruitment and Assessment Cell and Head of the Department of Political Science, Professor Manuka Khanna gave the welcome address, while Vice Chancellor-in-charge of Lucknow University, Professor Arvind Awasthi (Pro Vice Chancellor), Department of Economics, informed the team members about the achievements of Lucknow University. .
The program started with the introduction of the team participants. The visit included Dean Student Welfare (DSW) Professor Sangeeta Sahu giving a presentation (PPT) highlighting the achievements of the university and its operational processes including financial, administrative and audit protocols. After the presentation, another presentation was also given by the officials of the AG office located in Prayagraj.
After this, the team visited the Archaeological Museum where Prof. Piyush Bhargava briefed them about the artefacts. After this, they visited both the museums located in the Anthropology Department, where Professor Keya Pandey, Head of the Anthropology Department, provided them detailed information. Thereafter he was taken on a tour of the historical buildings of the University, where Professor Piyush Bhargava gave a detailed explanation of the building.
The team also visited the Rare Collection site at Tagore Library where they were briefed on various facts by Prof. Prashant Srivastava of the Department of Ancient History. Then they visited the Museum of Geology where they were informed by Prof. Dhruvsen Singh, Head of Geology. In the same sequence, the team also visited the Zoological Museum where Professor Sangeeta Rani, Head of Zoology, gave information about the collection kept there. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Professor Sangeeta Rani, Head of the Department of Zoology.
The team has representatives from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Burundi, Chile, Georgia, Guyana, India, Laos, Latvia, Malawi, Maldives, Mauritius, Morocco, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, Russia, Samoa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia.
