Youth showcase power of creativity at Udaan 2026

Rae Bareli: The annual fest ‘Udaan 2026’ commenced with grandeur and dignity today at Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University, marking the beginning of a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity and leadership.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Harish Hirani, Director of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, as the Chief Guest, while Prof. J. Ramkumar from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur attended as the Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Bhrigu Nath Singh.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Prof. Singh outlined the university’s vision, mission and guiding principles. He described ‘Udaan 2026’ as a significant platform that nurtures students’ creativity, leadership skills and cultural talents. He emphasized that the fest is a meaningful initiative aimed at the holistic development of students’ personalities.

In his address, Prof. J. Ramkumar appreciated the rapid development of Uttar Pradesh and urged students to focus on skill enhancement. He highlighted that in today’s competitive environment, practical competence, discipline and continuous learning form the foundation of success.

Chief Guest Prof. Harish Hirani termed the event an inspiring platform “of the students, by the students and for the students.” He encouraged participants to engage wholeheartedly, viewing the fest as an opportunity to learn, dream big and achieve all-round growth.

With the inauguration, the university campus resonated with festive spirit. A series of cultural, literary and creative activities will be held from February 23 to February 27, with enthusiastic participation from students throughout the week-long celebration.
