Lucknow: A seminar chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh was held under the Zero Poverty Campaign to uplift youth from extremely poor families and connect them to the mainstream of development. The event at Invest UP Auditorium, Gomtinagar, saw participation from educational institutions, service industry leaders, and banking representatives.

Chief Secretary Singh emphasized that the campaign aims to provide every impoverished family with food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education, along with sustainable income opportunities. He stressed the need to empower youth from these families through skill development for self-reliance and long-term livelihood.

Dr. Hariom, Principal Secretary, informed that 13.57 lakh youths from identified families are receiving free vocational training through the UP Skill Development Mission. Training includes soft skills like English communication, resume writing, computer literacy, and industrial behavior.
