Lucknow: In a significant step towards expanding the reach of employment-oriented government schemes, the Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a comprehensive digital awareness campaign through Uttar Pradesh Industrial Consultants Limited (UPICON). The initiative aims to connect welfare and entrepreneurship schemes directly with the masses by leveraging the power of social media.
Under this campaign, detailed information about key schemes such as the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM Yuva), One District One Product (ODOP) training and margin money schemes, and the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana is being disseminated through digital platforms. The effort is designed to ensure that youth, artisans, and aspiring entrepreneurs are well-informed about opportunities for skill development, self-employment, and financial assistance.

UPICON Managing Director Praveen Singh stated that keeping in mind the fast-paced digital era, the campaign has been structured primarily around social media to ensure direct outreach to the intended beneficiaries. He explained that the objective is not limited to publicity alone, but also to educate eligible beneficiaries about their rights, application processes, training modules, and the long-term benefits of these schemes.
As part of the campaign, UPICON has collaborated with social media influencers across various districts of the state. So far, the initiative has been successfully implemented in 15 districts, where influencers have shared informative content in the form of Instagram reels, Facebook posts, and YouTube videos. These videos showcase training procedures, beneficiary success stories, and the practical advantages of the schemes in a simple and engaging manner.

The impact of the campaign has been substantial. Through Instagram and other digital platforms, the initiative has achieved a direct outreach of over 1.1 million people. This widespread digital engagement has led to increased awareness, a surge in applications, and greater participation in the schemes, particularly among youth and traditional artisans seeking sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The campaign reflects Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of making every youth self-reliant while providing traditional crafts and local products a national and global identity. By establishing direct digital communication between the government and citizens, the initiative is also helping dispel misconceptions and ensuring that benefits reach eligible individuals without intermediaries.
UPICON has confirmed that the digital awareness drive will continue in the remaining allotted districts and is progressing steadily towards completion. The campaign has emerged as a powerful medium for taking the Yogi government’s employment-driven policies to the grassroots, playing a crucial role in building a self-reliant, skilled, and employment-rich Uttar Pradesh through digital empowerment.
