Yoga Training Conducted for M.Ed. Students at Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: The Department of Education at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University organized a yoga training session for M.Ed. students as part of a mandatory curricular activity, highlighting the growing importance of physical and mental well-being in modern life.

The training was conducted under the inspiration of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh and guided by faculty members Dr. Vimal Kumar and Dr. Rashmi Ranjan. As yoga forms an integral component of the M.Ed. curriculum, the session aimed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to students.

During the program, students practiced a range of yoga asanas including Shirshasana, Mayurasana, Chakrasana, Gomukhasana, Matsyendrasana, and Surya Namaskar, along with various pranayama techniques. Participants demonstrated commendable precision while performing even complex postures and gained insights into their significance in maintaining physical and mental balance.

Students attended the session in appropriate yoga attire and were initially guided through the correct methods of performing asanas and breathing exercises. The training also included discussions on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through proper diet and daily routines.

Dean and Head of the Department, Prof. Santosh Arora, emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life, stating that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind. He noted that yoga can effectively address many challenges posed by modern lifestyles and encouraged students to actively participate in such activities whenever opportunities arise.

The session was coordinated by course instructors Dr. Rashmi Ranjan and Dr. Vimal Kumar, with full participation from all M.Ed. students.
