Meerut/Lucknow : On the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Shri Dharmpal Singh, participated in a large-scale yoga session held at Meerut College, Meerut. Addressing the gathering, the minister inspired people to embrace yoga, calling it a powerful source of energy and vitality essential for a healthy and disease-free body.
Shri Singh echoed the sentiments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose message from Visakhapatnam on the global significance of yoga was played during the event. The Minister pledged to make yoga a regular part of his daily life and praised both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for bringing yoga to the masses, fostering not just health but also a sense of unity across communities.
He noted that the global theme for this year’s Yoga Day, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” reflects the urgent need to return to holistic practices, especially amid fast-paced lifestyles and poor dietary habits that are causing a rise in health issues. “By making yoga a daily habit, we can avoid many ailments and ensure a longer, healthier life,” said Singh.
Highlighting yoga’s contribution to mental strength, he added, “Yoga equips us not only with physical fitness but also with inner resilience, helping us face any challenge in life with a positive outlook.”
The event saw enthusiastic participation from local citizens, students, and members of various voluntary organizations, who joined the mass yoga demonstration. The Minister concluded by wishing everyone good health and urged all to commit to daily yoga practice for personal well-being and collective harmony.
