Lucknow: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has sent a formal proposal to the state government to develop “Japan City” and “Singapore City” as integrated industrial hubs in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Area.
According to a letter issued on February 18, 2026, 500 acres each have been identified in Sector 5A and Sector 7 of Greater Noida for the proposed projects. Japan City is planned in Sector 5A, while Singapore City will come up in Sector 7. The land acquisition plan has been prepared, and both projects are proposed to be developed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) mode.
YEIDA CEO R.K. Singh stated that the initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a global investment destination. The sectors fall under the authority’s master plan as multipurpose industrial zones, with at least 70 percent land reserved for industrial use.

The integrated cities are expected to attract foreign investment, generate employment, and accelerate industrial growth in the region.
